The Rainbow Fund exists to stop the suffering of equines from abuse or neglect, often purchased at low end auctions/kill sales. These horses have quality of life issues, and are in need of a noble and peaceful end. The only two things the funds can be used for are euthanasia and disposal. The funds will be used for CHRN horses in addition to offering assistance to owners who may not be able to afford these necessary services! Unfortunately, euthanasia and disposal is cost prohibitive to many horse owners so we can assist these owners and horses with end of life care. CHRN has hosted a free euthanasia clinic every year with these funds, and we have helped numerous horse owners give their beloved equines the final gift they can offer, the end or prevention of suffering.
Equine Assistance Programs
Since 2016 CHRN has been offering Equine Assistance Programs all over the state of Colorado. These are mobile clinics set up at locations that have a high level of need for discounted or free vet services. We offer Free Euthanasia, Free Castration, Free Dentals on Senior Horses, and Open Intake for owners needing to surrender their horses. We travel with our own veterinarian and team of volunteers. CHRN has hosted events along the Front Range, Eastern Plains and Western Slope of Colorado and we hope to expand to other areas in need. These programs are funded by Colorado Unwanted Horse Alliance and Horse Plus Humane Society among others. Please follow our social media for information on our next clinic!
